We've posted some samples of the recipe cards, action plans and shopping lists for you to see. Our attention to detail should make the cooking session as easy as possible. It won't be plain sailing every time, but like most things in life, planning is often a key to success.

We plan, you have fun!

The recipe cards have all been cooked and tested in our kitchen so we know they work, and the instructions are clear to follow; they are aimed specifically at inexperienced cooks.

In the Cook Together course, the instructions are split, with cookworm instructions for the youngest member of the team. You will need to make decisions about what they can do though, and give help when it's needed.

The recipes in the present packs will give young cooks a start.  By subscribing to the monthly subscription course you can build up a greater range of recipes to cook.

In the action plans the times are realistic for inexperienced cooks. There is no point in saying you can make something in ½ hour, when it will actually take you much longer; that is not good planning! We also appreciate that you won't always have time to complete everything on one day, so the action plan will give you instructions about what to do if you only want to make one of the dishes that week or if you want to make one of the dishes the day before perhaps, and split the work load. You can always save up recipes for school holiday time too.

When the recipe cards arrive the young cooks will be excited and keen to get into the kitchen. To make the most of that enthusiasm, the shopping lists will be e-mailed to you a few days before the cards arrive, so that you can buy any extra ingredients with your weekly shop and have everything ready to go. The shopping list also gives you quantities for serving a different number of people. So that you can use this when cooking I have included things like water that you won't have to shop for, but that you will need to increase when cooking. A bit more forward planning!
